Fire up the grill!

There was a time in the not so distant past where I would turn my nose up to red meat, believing that all of is was bad for you and laden with hormones and steroids. However, one of the things I've learned since I started making greener choices is that there are better options in grass-fed beef. Not just for us, but the practice is better for the environment compared to grain-feeding. When the animals are grass-fed, it maintains soil and helps to control run-off. In the end we get leaner beef with more omega fatty acids.

Just in time for Labor Day, this Friday, September 3rd, Whole Foods Market stores nationwide are offering ground grass-fed beef at a special price of $3.99/lb! And they are generously offering one lucky Pink Green Chick reader a $10 Whole Foods gift card so you can stock up on goodies like grass-fed beef! There are 5 ways to enter, but only one of each entry method will be allowed per person for this contest:

1) Check out the Whole Foods website and leave a comment to this post telling me what you would spend your gift card on. And/or...
