Take a step in the right direction!

Gone are the days when sustainable shoes evoke images of clunky, androgenous clodhoppers. This spring Keds introduced a line of sustainable casual footwear: their new Keds Green Label! They are just as cute as their conventional counterparts, but made with 100% organic cotton, non-toxic dyes, and recycled matreials. But that's not all! Even the shoebox and tissue that they are boxed in are made from 100% post-consumer waste! Kudos to Keds!

Get your's at Nordstroms or Keds.com ($55) and The Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree for every pair of Green Label shoes sold in 2009!

  1. Wow, an organic shoe! Go Keds. This is such a wonderful thing by going green. Not only can we eat organic but now we are taking care of in the footwear department as well. I'm truly excited.

  2. What a great website! Speaking of shoes, if you visit Yahoo Green you can calculate your carbon footprint! I thought it was pretty interesting. Also I thought it would be a nice addition to the website!
